Program Overview
Human-caused climate change is endangering healthy ecosystems, peaceful coexistence, and flourishing human communities. Greenhouse gas emissions from fossil fuels and livestock production are pushing us closer to dangerous climate thresholds and irreversible tipping points. We have the knowledge, technology, and resources to solve climate change. What’s missing are systems of accountability that require our institutions to prioritize this challenge.
We fund ambitious, creative efforts to convince cities, states, national governments, public service commissions, utilities, farmers, investors, corporations, and others to take urgent steps to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Strategies
Advance corporate accountability by moving major emitters and industry leaders to cut greenhouse gas emissions in line with international climate goals.
Reduce methane emissions by driving a shift from natural gas to renewable energy sources.
Expand public awareness by supporting investigative journalism, lifting up the stories of those impacted by climate change, and countering climate disinformation.

Conservatives for Responsible Stewardship
Project support to help individuals concerned about energy affordability and economic competition convince their local public utility commission to let clean energy sources compete on an equal footing with gas.
FarmSTAND
Project support for litigation that holds livestock companies responsible for their greenhouse gas emissions.
Sierra Club
Project support to advance building electrification policies in cities and public utility commissions across 11 states.
